Our services.
Assessments.
We offer a range of assessments depending on the needs of you or your child, including:
Cognitive Assessments.
A cognitive assessment is a test of intellectual ability. It is commonly known as an “IQ test” and provides an indication of an individual's ability to think and reason. A cognitive assessment can help to identify the strengths and weaknesses of an individual and how to best support them across different contexts.
Specific Learning Disorders.
Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) are commonly found in the areas of reading and spelling although it can also occur in the areas of writing and maths. The different types of SLDs are commonly referred to as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Dysgraphia.
Autism Assessments.
We use gold standard, evidence-based tools in our approach to the diagnosis of Autism. We collaborate closely with other health professionals, such as your paediatrician, and you in this process.
Educational Assessments.
An educational assessment comprises a cognitive and achievement assessment. This can help to build a comprehensive understanding of an individual’s cognitive and academic abilities, and inform how to best support the individual’s learning going forward.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects children and adults. It is characterized by inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. ADHD is typically diagnosed in collaboration with a paediatrician or psychiatrist. We use evidence-based tools in the diagnosis of ADHD.
Workshops.
Lumos Psychology provides tailored professional development about neurodivergence for workplaces, educators, and leadership teams. Our professional development programs are designed to support employers and employees in their understanding of neurodivergence and how it may present in the workplace.
