Sian is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist, Australian Association of Psychology (AAPi) member and Board Approved Supervisor. Sian has experience working with autistic children and adolescents, ADHDers, challenging behaviours, anxiety, and depression. She is passionate about working with children and adolescents, and their families, to help young people reach their full potential.
Sian has had many years of experience working within primary and secondary school settings providing assessment and intervention. She believes that assessments can unlock newfound knowledge of an individual's true capabilities. Assessments can not only inform future support, but can empower young people to strive for more. Sian currently works with all ages for assessments.
For counselling, Sian is interested in working with young people aged 12 to 18 years. She works with children and adolescents who may require support regarding existing diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, autism or ADHD, as well as supporting the development of social skills, emotional regulation and study skills. Sian provides a warm and supportive environment where each young person can feel comfortable to discuss their concerns and develop skills to manage their challenges now and in the future. Sian typically draws on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) in her work.
